Ingredients:
- 4 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 cups sharp old cheddar
- 1/4 tsp cayenne powder
- 2 & 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 egg

For the garlic butter drizzle:
- 3-4 tbsp melted butter
- 3 tsp garlic powder (granulated)
- 1 tsp herbs de Provence
- 1/4 tsp sal

- Preheat your oven to 435°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and cayenne powder.
- Cut the butter into small cubes and add to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the sharp cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop biscuit dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake on the top rack for 22 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
While the biscuits are baking, make the garlic butter drizzle: melt the butter in a small bowl, then stir in the garlic powder, herbs de Provence, and salt.
Once the biscuits are done, drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the hot biscuits.
Serve warm and enjoy
